Who we are
Berkshire Loft Conversions (berkshireloftconversions.co.uk) is run by Mark Porter. We are a free introduction service: we pass enquiries from homeowners to local loft conversion specialists. We are not a building firm.

What we collect
- What you tell us in our forms: your postcode, details about your property and project, your name, email address, phone number and any notes.
- If you ask us to email you a cost estimate: your email address, your name if you give it, and the choices you made in the calculator, including any postcode.
- Basic technical details: the page you used, the site that referred you, campaign tags in the link you followed, your browser’s user agent, and a one-way hashed version of your IP address. We never store your IP address itself.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites.
Why we use it
- To pass your enquiry to local specialists, with your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form.
- To send you a confirmation of your enquiry, or the cost estimate you asked for.
- To protect the form from spam and abuse, and to keep a record of enquiries, which is in our legitimate interests.
Who we share it with
- Up to three local loft conversion specialists, so they can contact you about your project. We will name the companies we work with on this page.
- Service providers who run parts of the site for us: Cloudflare (hosting, database, spam protection and analytics), Resend (sending emails) and our email provider (receiving enquiry alerts).
- Some of these providers, including Resend, are based in the United States, so your details may be processed outside the UK.
We do not sell your details to anyone else, and we do not use them for marketing unrelated to your enquiry.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and estimate requests that are not passed on to a specialist for 12 months, then delete them.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time by emailing [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
